COVID 19 Update - January 2021

The Board of Elders continues to encourage God’s people to gather for worship and fellowship on Sunday mornings.

COVID 19 UPDATE

As you may know, the number and rate of positive tests for COVID19 in Idaho is at an all-time high. Just as is common practice with stores, please put your facemask on before entering the building and only remove it when you leave. This is in consideration of others and to ensure the safest environment possible for all who gather for worship. Even though chairs are distanced in the sanctuary, please do not remove your facemask once seated. Exceptions are made for the actual moment of eating/drinking the elements of the Lord’s Supper, and for those who have medical conditions. As a reminder, the mask mandate for Ada County is still in effect and the church has a role to play in being responsible for the common good. If you have any questions, please contact your Elder or Pastor Matt. Thank you!

If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID19, please refrain from attending. Live-streamed services, bulletins, and children’s bulletins are all available on our website.

Sunday Worship Services: Worship services are at 8:15am and at 11:00am. Holy Communion is offered at both services with special social-distancing protocols in place on the first and third Sundays of each month.

The chairs in the sanctuary have been arranged to allow individuals space as well as for couples and families to sit together. In addition, we are taking steps to increase ventilation. To ease the flow of people as they enter, bulletins will already be placed on chairs. Instead of offering plates being passed, several baskets will be available in the front to receive the offering. On Communion Sundays, the elements of the meal will be available on tables for people to come forward and receive. Upon returning to their seats, we will commune together. The nursery, while available for parents to use, will not be staffed. Finally, bathrooms have been equipped with touchless automatic soap and paper towel dispensers.

Our early Sunday service is streamed on Facebook Live. To be notified of when we are live, you must have a Facebook account. Not part of Facebook? Anyone may watch the whole service at any time even after it has been live-streamed. Click here to link to FC Online Worship Services webpage directly. You will find links on that page as well as worship bulletin PDF’s to supplement your worship experience. The worship bulletin includes Sermon notes and life group questions.  Upon request to the church office, DVDs of the entire worship service are available for mailing. Email the church office at with your request.

Stay informed! If you call the church office please leave a message and your call will be returned. Pastor Matt, the Elders, and ministry teams want to make sure physical needs are met and the spiritual well-being of the congregation is assured. For timely updates, please sign up for the Friendly 411 and the church newsletter, Friendly Findings, by emailing the church office.

Please remember to give your offering by mailing a check to the church, by giving online through this website or by using automatic withdrawal (preferred method) by linking it to your savings/checking account or debit/credit card. This form is also available on the church website (look under “Give” dropdown menu at the top of the webpage). Thank you for your faithful giving!

These are challenging and unprecedented times, but also an opportunity for the Gospel to be where it belongs—in our homes and in our hearts. May God bless you and your household.
