Facts About Camp
WHAT IS JR. HIGH CAMP? We care about families & youth here at Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church (FCLC). We provide a fun, safe, & Bible centered affordable experience for those in our local community. Jr. High Camp is for families that need something for their students during summer break, or for those who may only need a day or two.
WHO CAN ATTEND? Jr. High Camp is for students who are going into 7th through 9th grade in the fall of 2020.
WHO ARE THE CAMP STAFF? The Camp Director is Brett Lindemood (Youth & Family Minister at FCLC), and the Program Director is Charlie Young (College Intern). The Day-Camp Staff includes Pre-School teachers and aids, other church staff members, college students, high school age counselors, & counselors assistants (7th & 8th graders). All staff have been background checked. Jr. High Camp staff will also include drivers 24 years of age or older.
HOW MUCH DOES EACH WEEK COST? There is a one time $25 registration fee (nonrefundable) due upon registration in order to hold your spot. Normal registration for a week of Jr. High Camp is $160, but if you register before before May 15th by 4:00pm (Early Registration Deadline) the Early Registration Rate is $145 per week. Daily Registration is available for $40 per day. In order to guarantee your camper’s spot for that week registration and fees must be received prior to the beginning of that week or day of camp. Camp registration costs will only be refunded to you if you notify the Church office in writing of your cancellation in the by the Friday of the prior week. Please note: the $25 registration fee is non-refundable.
TRAVEL? Everyday we will meet & sign in at Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church from 8:30am and will leave campus anywhere from 9:30am to 10:30am. We will have a seatbelt for every camper and each vehicle will be operated by an adult of at least 24 years of age or older. You may want to send spending cash with you students for snacks to by as we are out doing activities. (This is at your own risk - we will not hold or be responsible for any items the students bring on the daily outing.)
LUNCH? Campers must bring their own lunch & water bottle in a small lunchbox, cooler, or sack. Lunches will be gathered and transported via coolers. All lunches should be clearly labeled with the campers first name, last name, & grade they are in during the 2020/21 school year. (If your child has a food allergy, their lunch will be stored separately.)
SNACKS? A morning & afternoon snack will be provided daily at no extra cost. Students may bring extra spending cash (at their own risk) to purchase snacks/items on our outings.
WEEKLY EVENTS? All camps will have an opening & closing with Bible devotions, songs & competition. Some activities will require their own release forms (these will be emailed to you or given to you once you are registered for camp). If we are missing a release form for an event it may require us to contact you the day of, and possibly for your student to sit out of the event. Please send them with the appropriate attire for that activity (unless we are swimming we ask for closed-toe-shoes).
SUNSCREEN? We will have sunscreen available, but please apply sunscreen on your camper(s) before they come to camp. If they need special sunscreen please make that known as your drop them off for the first day of camp & provide sunscreen for them for the week.
BEFORE/AFTER CARE? Before Care & After Care will be available for each day of camp from 7:00am to 8:30am & 3:30pm to 6:00pm for a minimal fee of $10 per day. (See registration on reverse side for more information)
HOW DO I SIGN UP? Print out and complete out the registration below. Dates and activities are on one side with the registration form on the reverse side.
