      HELP!!! We have over 250 people coming for the installation dinner and only 177 folding chairs. If you have some padded folding chairs at home that we can use, we would GREATLY appreciate it. Please bring them to the church on Saturday, October 7th and place them in the classroom across from the office. THANK YOU!!

     Important Notice! Caring Ministry will be meeting tomorrow, October 9th at the church not Maui Wowi.

     Servant Trip to Texas for Hurricane Relief efforts—Who: For every family interested — Where: We are meeting in the Church Multi-purpose room — When: 9:50am October 15th INFO: We are hoping to take as many Families, Youth, and able-bodied members of our congregation to help in the relief efforts in Texas from the devastation from the Hurricanes. Come find out more about this trip, sign up by October 31st, or hear how you can help best from Meridian, ID.

     LWML Western Zone Rally: All ladies are invited to the LWML Western Zoe Fall Rally at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Plymouth. Registration begins at 9:00am on Saturday, October 7th. This fall’s theme is “Up, Up, and Away” (Ephesians 4:15 “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him Who is the Head, into Christ.”) Our own Terri Bentley will be the Bible study leader with special guest speaker Nichelle Dykma a Missionary to Peru.      The Men's Breakfast is set for this Saturday, October 7th at 8:00am. The guest speaker will be David Latzke. Our cook this month is Peggy Ohlaug. Need more information? Contact Ray Ohlaug (208-908-3281)

     Coming Soon to Sunday Mornings! Beginning on Sunday, Oct. 22, Pastor Matt will teach a Sunday morning adult Bible study class entitled “The Parables of Jesus”. The class will meet in Room 132.

     FCLC has signed up to cook dinner at the Ronald McDonald House on Monday, October 16th and Monday, November 13th. We still need 4 - 6 volunteers. You arrive at 4PM and are usually done cooking and cleaning up by 6:30PM. If you are unable to volunteer but would still like to help you could help provide the food that we will be cooking. RMH usually contacts us about a week before our scheduled night and asks us if we have an idea for the menu and how many people they show will be at the house that night. We can set the menu at any time but we have to remember that if it is not sealed from the store it must be prepared at the house. Please contact John Wiemer, , and let him know if you are able to help cook.

     Help Needed! October 22 is Quilt Blessing Sunday. All are welcome to help put the quilts out on Saturday, October 21 at 9:00am. Also, help packing the quilts for shipping after the 11:00am service on October 22 is needed. Thank you for all your prayers, service, and donations to the Quilter Group!

     Women’s Breakfast for October will be on Saturday, October 28th at 9:30 am. We are having a brunch potluck to welcome Sally Henry.
