Office Manager—Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church
The Office
Manager reports directly to the Senior Pastor on a day to day basis. This
position is also accountable to the President and Chief Financial Officer of
the Lay Leadership Council.
Job Overview
This
professional full-time staff position is responsible for all bookkeeping duties
and provides financial administrative support to the Pastor, Director of
Christian Education, Lay Leadership Council and Preschool.
Qualifications
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
Willingness to learn church management system (Planning Center, Clover) and new
software.
- General knowledge of office equipment (i.e. printers,
copiers, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to
multi-task
- Efficient time management
- Excellent people and communication skills including
confidentiality
- Bookkeeping and human resources experience
Responsibilities & Duties
- Process and record weekly offering
- Reconcile bank account and monitor activity
- Manage accounts receivable including electronic
transactions (Square, Stripe, website)
- Administer payroll on a regular basis
- Provide guidance and materials for human resources and
worker benefits (Concordia Plans)
- Provide monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Assist other ministry leaders in budget planning
- Maintain contribution records
- Purchase and maintain office equipment and supplies
- Maintain website hosting and email account information
- Prepare preschool employment contracts
- Process preschool tuition billing and payments
- Provide occasional backup for Office Administrator to
create and print weekly bulletins and Friendly 411 Weekly e-newsletters when
needed
- File tax forms and paperwork as needed
- Miscellaneous correspondence and other duties as
requested by Pastor or Lay Leadership Council
