What is worship like?
We worship God through preaching, teaching, reading the Bible, music, and prayer. Our music is a blend of both traditional hymns and contemporary songs.
What do I wear?
Come as you are. Attire ranges from dressed up to jeans – you’ll fit in.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend fifteen minutes prior to the beginning of service. However, many people arrive earlier to visit with friends and welcome visitors (you!) – its a great way to start Sunday morning.
After the first service there is a fellowship time between 9:15 and 9:45 am, and at 9:45 Bible Study classes begin – for all ages. So, if planning to attend the second service (at 11:00), please come early for our Fellowship and Bible Study times. That being said, don't let being late detour you. An usher will be available to offer you a bulletin and guide you to a seat.
Which door do I use?
When you arrive, you will see a large entrance facing northwest with a drive through where you can drop people off. That is our main entrance, and we recommend you use it so our greeters can assist you. The other entrance is a set of double doors facing Chinden Blvd. We have three other doors, used for emergency exit purposes only.
Where do I go?
Let the greeters know you are new – they will be happy to show you around. Once you enter the main doors, you will probably find a number of folks visiting over a cup of coffee – feel free to grab a cup at our coffee bar and join us! Our worship services are held in the sanctuary, through the double doors at the back of the fellowship area. Feel free to ask anyone for directions - our greeters, members and staff are always happy to provide assistance.
What about my kids?
The Children's Ministry leaders are a group staff & volunteers dedicated to teaching and discipling the children in their care, letting them know by their words and their actions that Jesus loves them. While we welcome children of all ages to worship with their families, we also provide nursery care during our services and the Sunday School Hour. The Nursery is located in the north hallway across from the church office. A Children’s Message is done during each service and all children are invited to the altar area for a special message. Sunday School for all youth starts at 9:45 am in room 113.
What happens during a service?
A bulletin, that includes an outline of the service and the latest event updates, is available when entering the sanctuary. Take one and follow along. All songs and responsive prayers are projected on large screens, so no memorization is necessary. It’s easy! Join in as you feel comfortable, we are in this together.
Communion is served the first and third Sunday of each month, at both services.
A Friendship Card/Prayer Request will be inside the Bulletin you receive as you enter the Sanctuary. Scan the QR code and fill out the online contact info or complete the card by hand, pens are at the ends of each row of chairs. Please complete the card, so we can contact you. Feel comfortable to ask for prayer for anyone in need – or offer a praise! Pastor will read these prayers to the congregation during our prayer time if you want names to remain anonymous note that on the card, the prayer still counts – God knows who it's for.
The Offering plate is passed at each service. We don’t expect anything. If you do give to God’s kingdom and would like a receipt, a check will be necessary for tracking purposes.
Again, after service, members often ‘hang around’ to visit. Stick around, mingle – it’s how you will make friends and feel like you belong. We love to celebrate our friendship, with God and with others.
